It was amazing to see the people of Grenada. My life was change to see their excitement and hope on their faces. The peoples' determination to rebuild their country was impressed on the team and we were honoured to help. We enjoyed the worship services and the fellowship with the pastors and members. I was also amaze by the young team members. They worked diligently and with their effort we were able to accomplish our goals. We built a temportary apartment for the local pastor and painted the benches and the wall of the church. The final thanksgiving service was the highlight of the trip. We celebrated and gave God thanks for his provision. I praised God because He renewed my passion for missions during this trip. Today I am excited and anticipating my participation in many work and witness trips. -Auricia Williams

Michigan District NMI sent a team to CNTC (Caribbean Nazarene College) for the purpose of working on the Chapel and other Campus projects. God blessed in so many special ways. We had the privilege of meeting some NIVS (Nazarenes in Volunteer Service) folks from Iowa. We completed the projects assigned and just a little more. Kathleen Fritch (NIVS) a young lady from North Dakota was on campus and was a real blessing to the team. Our Team included Puppeteers and their puppets. We ministered to more than 700 children and adults in Public and Private schools. We had the privilege of being present when the Campus Revival with Dr. Victor Price was in session. God came on the scene and we sensed His presence through out the campus while we were there. We are looking forward to going to CNTC again! -Russell and Ruth Payne

This week has been a special week for Norma and me. We feel as if we have been given a special seat at the feet of the Spirit. This week started with the biggest turnout of the local team, as they like to be called. They came to work on their building for Jesus. Some were even giving up work to be a part. They came not for Pastor but for Jesus and it showed. We were able to get the hurricane roof ready in record time. There was laughter and joy in the working together of the men and us. We got down to the end of the steel tying, and knowing that we are tight on money we didn't order any more steel. I wittnessed a miracle as I knew we would need more steel, but the steel lasted down to the last piece. I told Pastor that it was like the oil in the jar in the Bible and we both praised the Lord. When Saturday came Norma and I took pictures at Pastors request and did not help in the pour. We stood back and watched these people become a Church, not just locally but internationally, as they want other Naz Blessings in Christ! -Ken and Norma Stringer

My wife and I were in Jamaica January 12th through the 24th of this year. We worked at the Burnt Savanna Parsonage with 23 other team members. It was an awesome experience. I had no desire to go. My wife was the one who felt led to go. A few weeks before we were to leave she had to have back surgery, so I decided to go just to keep her from hurting her self. As it worked out I probably was the one who received the most from the trip. It was part of Gods plan all along. I was sanctified on Jan. 21st in the Burnt Savanna Church. It was life changing. I am retired from Whirlpool Corp. I believe God has called me to do work/witness. I am looking forward to what ever opportunities I have to serve. -Jim Salyer

It was 40 years ago that I left the tiny island of Barbados with my missionary parents, Rev. E. Clayton and Erna Mae Garner. This year I had the privilege of returning as part of the PrimeTime Barbados Blitz, a dream of Rev. Charles Bledsoe, MI.
Our worksite was the Nazarene Tabernacle that had been in my backyard the 4 years I had lived there from 1961-1965. What a flood of memories filled my heart and mind as we drove through the gates onto the property where we had lived.
The first person to greet us at the airport asked dad if he recognized him. Turns out, Rev. Arthur Leonce was 10 and attended the Halls Road Church of the Nazarene dad had pastored in the 60's. Now Arthur is the pastor of the Hillaby Church of the Nazarene located near the highest point on the island with the best view of the Atlantic ocean. What a thrill for mom and dad to see "fruit" from their labors so many years ago.
Our team spent the week painting and prepping the Tabernacle in anticipation of their quarterly meeting with special guest, General Superintendent, Jerry Porter. You can read more about it on www.goprimetime.org.
We also experienced the joyful worship of the Bajans on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings and several weeknight services. They hold nothing back in their love for the Lord and in their expressions of praise through music, prayer and fellowship. I will never forget the prayers of the Senior women at Halls Road church as they prayed for each other and for us.
Too soon it was time to say goodby and I came home leaving a part of my heart in Barbados. I'm grateful to belong to a church that is universal and unselfishly spreading the good news around the world. I know I will never be the same after this trip and I pray that someday I will be able to be a part of another Witness and Work team somewhere in the world. -Linda (Garner) Sprowl -Barbados
